    Alumnae

Dear Alumni,

First, let me introduce myself. I am Fr. Tim Mulligan, OFM Conv and those initials after my name mean that I am a Franciscan. I am now entering my fifth year in campus ministry at Syracuse and I can now say that my blood has officially turned orange! I thank God every day that I am part of a ministry that touches the lives of young people at the most critical juncture of their lives-when they are asking questions, searching for meaning, and thirsting for a faith that works! St. Thomas More Campus Ministry is the way Catholic students grow in their faith, empowering them to be active and engaged in a vibrant community of faith rooted in Jesus. In writing this letter, I ask for your prayer and support. Can you help to ensure the presence and outreach to Catholic students on this campus?

Here are a few of the new programs and projects going on this year

  • Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts
Week long service projects in New Orleans
  • St. Thomas More Breakfast Series
Friday morning lectures on faith and the arts
  • Refugee Support program
St. Thomas More is supporting a recently arrived family from Afghanistan
  • Sandwiches for the Poor
St. Thomas More makes 600 sandwiches each month for a local food pantry
  • Secular Franciscan Fraternity
St. Thomas More is beginning a new community of lay Franciscan men and women
  • More House Faith Community
Nine students live together in Christian community including prayer, service projects and fun!
  • See program link for a complete list of our programs

As a Franciscan, I invite you to continue to be a part of the mission of St. Thomas More!   Each year we must raise 100% of the funds to continue this ministry and we are solely supported through our fund raising efforts. We believe strongly that the St. Thomas More Campus Ministry is absolutely vital to the faith development of tomorrow's Catholic leaders. Please help us in our mission!

Peace,

Timothy Mulligan, OFM Conv.
