Tison Kelley  class of 2003

I am an Information Studies & Technology Graduate (iSchool) ‘03 from Syracuse University.   I am currently the owner and Chief Designer tech startup Breakthrough Design Group, located in Syracuse.

During my time at Syracuse University, when I wasn’t working in the computer lab, I was thankful to be able to spend time at the Alibrandi Center.  Whenever things got crazy with exams, homework, or with my relationship, I was in the Alibrandi Center: talking with God and my grandmother who had recently passed (and getting some tutoring :) .  Despite what was going on, I could always return home.

Lately, I have been serving dinners at the Samaritan Center in downtown Syracuse.  I am helping teach a confirmation class at St. Cecilia’s (my home parish), and I am running a Volleyball Tournament/Concert in Syracuse to help raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research.  I have also helped the St. Thomas More Center in building a new web presence this year as well as St. Cecilia’s, and Believer’s Chapel in North Syracuse.

On helping:

“When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite only your friends, your family, your other relatives, and your rich neighbors. At another time they will invite you to eat with them, and you will be repaid. 13 Instead, when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind.  14 Then you will be blessed, because they have nothing and cannot pay you back.”
Luke 14:12-14
