Knights of Columbus

Knights of Columbus
Blessed Mother Marianne Cope Council 14260 at Syracuse University
Council 14260 is a member of the college council’s conference, one of only six in the state of New York. As Knights of Columbus we strive to work towards upholding the pillars of the order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. We do this through our activities as a council and for the larger Catholic community throughout the three academic institutions we serve.
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded in New Haven CT in 1882 by Fr. Michael J. McGivney in the basement of St. Mary’s Church. There are more than 1.7 million members in 14,000 councils across the US, Canada, Poland Philippines and US territories, with nearly 200 councils on college campuses. Membership is limited to “practical Catholic” men aged 18 or older.
