Baccalaureate Mass

Mass will be celebrated at the Alibrandi Catholic Center on May 15th at 5:15pm.

Please join the Catholic campus ministry as we pray for and ask for God’s blessings on our new graduates and their families. For those families that can not attend this Liturgy, there will be Mass on Sunday, May 16th, at 5:00pm at the Alibrandi Catholic Center.

Prayer Labyrinth

A Christ-centered labyrinth experience will be held in the Great Room at the Alibrandi Catholic Center on April 16 & 17.

Friday April 16 9am – 7pm

Saturday April 17 9am – 5pm

Come anytime and go at any pace – the labyrinth journey allows an individual to meditate, read and actively participate in stations along a path. Unlike a maze, the labyrinth has no dead ends. There is an inward journey that centers around letting go – a middle which leads you to centering – an outward journey that focuses on comittment.

People walk the labyrinth slowly, listen to your own soothing music, stop at stations and read the participant’s guide – it is a spiritual exercise – a form of pilgrimage.

The intention of the labyrinth is to give you space and time for spiritual and personal reflection.

Relay For Life

Saturday, April 10th, Newman Assoc. is participating in the Relay For Life at the Dome. The event starts at 6pm and runs through the night to 6 am. You can join our team, donate to American Cancer or just stop by and visit.

Join the campus of SU as we hold an all night vigil against Cancer. All money raised is donated to the American Cancer Society. Bring a sleeping bag and bring yourself to support this cause.

Good Friday Stations of the Cross

Join us as we share in the Passion of Christ on Good Friday, April 2nd. We will meet at Hendrick’s Chapel at 1pm and proceed throughout the Campus carrying the cross and listening to the Word. We welcome anyone to help carry the Cross and to help proclaim the reading of the Stations. We re-enact the Passion to commemorate and appreciate Christ’s Gift of Salvation to all of humanity. Immediately following the Stations, we will share a light Lenten dinner at the Alibrandi Catholic Center.

Samaritan Center Soup Kitchen

Students from St. Thomas More Campus Ministry will be serving dinner at the Samaritan Center located in the inner city. Samaritan Center is an interfaith effort to feed the homeless and needy men, women and children of Syracuse. We will leave from the Alibrandi Catholic Center on the designated Mondays at 3pm and will return to campus by 5:15pm.
